Throughout the year, there are a number of annual conferences and retreats available to students. These conferences involve hundreds of students from nearly every college campus in the state. College Student ConferenceThis conference is held each year in Fall and is held in or near the Jackson area. Summer Missions is the emphasis of this conference with testimonies from the previous summer's missionaries. The conference is highlighted by keynote speakers, special music groups, and "breakout" sessions that deal with various topics of interest to college students.
International Student ConferenceThis retreat is for students who are generally exchange students or students that are
pursuing their education in the United States. This retreat provides them the chance to
fellowship with other internationals and attend sessions dealing with a number of helpful
topics. State B.S.U. RetreatThis retreat is geared specifically toward our black students. This retreat provides students the opportunity to hear great African-American speakers and participate in powerful seminars dealing with topics like soul winning, seeking God's will, Christian response to AIDS, courtship, marriage and more. Leadership Training ConferenceThis conference is held during the spring semester and is designed to provide training
for those students who will be serving in a leadership capacity in the Fall. It is also an
orientation period for those students who will be serving as summer missionaries at the
end of the spring semester. |
