AK BAPTIST FAMILY SERVICES, Anchorage.  Student will serve as recreation director for summer program in our residential child care facility for emotionally disturbed and behaviorally dysfunctional children and youth.  In addition to recreation, responsibilities include some Bible study plus being a friend and role model for children ages 6-18.  Need relate to multi-ethnics.  PARTNER

CHUGACH ASSOCIATION, Anchorage.  Students will be involved with evangelistic programs with children and younger youth through VBS and Backyard Bible Clubs, door-to-door witnessing, and working in and through missions and local churches in the association.  PARTNER

ARIZONA – AZ-2 / 2 Females

CATALINA BAPTIST ASSOCIATION, Tuscon.  Student missionaries will be involved in a variety of activities with both children and youth.  10% preschool, 40% children, and 50% youth.  Activities may include VBS, Visitation/Survey, Backyard Bible Clubs, and help with starting new churches and missions.  PARTNER

ARIZONA – AZ-11 / 2 Students

RIO VISTA BAPTIST CENTER, Phoenix.  Social ministry work in the Phoenix inner-city.  Location is safe for students.  Students will be involved in activities such as VBS, BBC, food distribution.  33% VBS and Backyard Bible Clubs, 33% Bible teaching, and 33% church weekday ministries.  Experience with any of following helpful:  VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs,  Day Camp, Bible teaching.  PARTNER

EAST BAY ASSOCIATION, San Leandro.  Minister to multi-ethnic and varied cultural children & youth through VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, Day Camps, and Bible teaching with various host churches & missions.  Ministry setting is urban but not inner city.  TEAM

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, Hesperia.  Church has a major outreach ministry in the summer using several summer missionaries along with teams of volunteers.  Activities will include outreach and witness to multi-ethnic/cultural community through VBS and Backyard Bible Clubs, camps, mall witnessing, sports evangelism, music performances, Bible teaching, Spanish helpful but not necessary.  Rural & suburban setting.  TEAM

SAN DIEGO ASSOCIATION, San Diego.  Students will work in different churches in the association assisting in various summer programs for children and youth, primarily.  Activities will include:   church weekday ministries, music performances, experience needed, VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, day camps, Bible teaching, testimonies, recreation/fellowship, visitation, surveys, rural, suburban, inner-city.   TEAM

LOS ANGELES ASSOCIATION, Downey.  Assist in strengthening churches, reaching multi-ethnic communities, and laying groundwork for new church planting through recreation, evangelism, testimonies, VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs and Day Camps.  Musical experience helpful (singing, song leading, instrument).  Suburban setting.  TEAM

CALIFORNIA – CA-101 / 1 Male

TAHOE RESORT MINISTRIES, Tahoe City.  Cross Training Sports Youth Camp.   This camp will meet for 4 hours a day for 8 weeks.  The male co-leader will work with a female partner to plan and execute various sporting activities for youth in the community in an effort to develop relationships and share their faith.  Activities will include things like hiking, biking, laser tag, mini-golf, ropes courses, basketball, baseball, volleyball, and soccer.  Students must love youth and have a real desire to spend extra time in building and nurturing relationships.   PARTNER

CALIFORNIA – CA-102 / 2 Females

TAHOE RESORT MINISTRIES, Tahoe City.  Students will work at part of a team of 8-10 students working primarily to do community ministry and outreach through a day camp program for children.  Students will be in the same place all summer and share fairly close living quarters with other summer missionaries.  Cooking and cleaning responsibilities will be shared.  Students should have a passion for working with children and strong desire to get to know both the kids and their families.  Students need to be aware that God is placing opportunities for ministry in their path 24/7 and desire to be used.  This is a demanding assignment, but he rewards are great.  Fantastic supervisor.   TEAM

COLORADO – CO-6 / 1 Male, 1 Females

LORD OF THE MOUNTAINS CHURCH, Aspen.  This is a brand new church plant in a challenging setting.  Students will be involved in Mountain Top Worship Services, Psalms and Aspen Hikes, God in Nature Day Camps,  Holy Hanging Out, Sports Camps, Drama teams and a variety of evangelistic ministry opportunities.  PARTNER

COLORADO – CO-11 / 2 Females

O-BE-JOYFUL BAPTIST CHURCH, Crested Butte.  This is a small mountain community with a large tourist population during the summer months.  This church is very exciting in its opportunities for ministry.  It is a resort ministry using campground ministry, outdoor day camps, recreation education and other activities to reach both locals and visitors with the gospel message.  A student serving here should be self motivated, outgoing, strong in their personal faith, of good physical health, recreationally active, able to lead and be led.  PARTNER

WASHINGTON, DC – DC-4 / 2 Students Same Gender

MINISTRIES TO EMBASSY PERSONNEL.  Work with Ministry to Embassy Personnel to plan and implement special events to reach families of foreign diplomats.  Ministry will include evangelism, visiting diplomats, computer work, music, and recreation.  Experience in these areas and ability to speak any foreign language would be helpful.  This is a unique opportunity for students who may have interest in a career in public service.  PARTNER

WASHINGTON, DC – DC-10 / 2 Males

DEPARTMENT of SPECIAL MINISTRIES/ DC BAPTIST CONVENTION. 
Ministry to Internationals and Americans who are visiting in our nation’s capital.  Any kind of recreation or performance skill such as music, juggling, drama, kite flying, face-painting, etc can be used to attract the attention of tourists who can then be open to receive a cup of water, conversation, Scriptures, Christian friendship or witness.  This is a physically demanding but infinitely varied and rewarding resort/recreation ministry.  PARTNER

HAWAII – HI-7 / 1 Male

KAHULUI BAPTIST CHURCH, Maui, Youth Minister.  Located in the largest city on Maui, the Kahului community is primarily Asian.  Most come from a nominal Buddhist background,  with a limited understanding of Christianity.  Student will be involved in youth Bible teaching, outreach, and evangelism.  50% of time spent in youth recreation.   Recreation will be used to reach youth for Bible study and witness.  90% of time spent with youth.  No student partner.

ILLINOIS – IL-3 / 2 Students

CHICAGO METRO BAPTIST ASSOCIATION, Chicago.   Ministry to youth, homeless, students, mentally handicapped, and adults.  Students will also be involved in construction, VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, recreation, evangelism, church starting, and clerical assistance.  Students  may be involved in ministry to homeless, adults, & mentally handicapped.  TEAM of 10 students.

ILLINOIS – IL-5 / 2 Students Same Gender

QUAD CITIES BAPTIST ASSOCIATION, East Moline.  Students will be using such creative ministries as puppets, drama, and song leading to reach children and youth.  Half of their time will be devoted to church starting activities.  Students will also be part of camp staff.  The other areas of work will be VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, and community outreach.  PARTNER

ILLINOIS – IL-8 / 2 Females

THREE RIVERS BAPTIST ASSOCIATION, Joliet.  Work will be with children and youth in both suburban and inner city locations.  Ministry tasks will be VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, drama, recreation, Bible teaching, music performance, church ministries, evangelism, sharing of testimony with children, and teenagers.  PARTNER

KANSAS – KS/NE-23 / 1 Male, 1 Female or  2 Students

YOUTH HORIZONS, Wichita.  This ministry will focus on beginning a new neighborhood ministry in an effort to start a new mission church in an old but revitalized area of Wichita.  Students will be assisting with summer day camps, Bible Clubs and camps and the mentoring program for children and teens.  This is an inner city, multi-ethnic ministry.  Spanish is helpful but not required.  PARTNER

SOUTH UNION – MT. ZION ASSOCIATION, Williamsburg.  Students will be involved in a variety of activities in churches and ministries of the association.  These may include VBS, nursing home ministry, clown ministry, camp staff, sports camps, and youth retreats.  PARTNER

MARYLAND – MD-1 / 2 Males

OCEAN CITY BAPTIST CHURCH, Ocean City.  Creative Arts Team composed of students skilled in drama, mime, music, singing and dance.  Historic worship leader (“circuit rider preacher”) for Frontier Town theme park.  Resort ministry with youth mission teams and local churches: beach ministries (beach volleyball, sand sculpture, etc.) to tourists, lifeguards, fisherman; campground worship and day camps; construction on new church & Christian School.  Other ministries may include international students, soup kitchen, Parents Night Out, puppets, concerts, campus nights, and Family Nights at campgrounds.  TEAM

Skills:  VBS/BBC/Day Camp, sharing testimony, driving a car.  Helpful Skills: Bible teaching, preaching/devotionals, survey/visitation, evangelism, computer, drama, puppets, clowning/juggling, song leading/singing (solos), musical instrument (guitar?), recreation/fellowship, camp staff, construction, languages (French or Spanish).
 

MARYLAND – MD-2 / 2 Students Same Gender

SEVENTH BAPTIST CHURCH, Baltimore.  Inner-city church which sponsors community-based ministries targeting children, teens and their families.  Activities include outdoor Bible clubs, sports clinics, camp and “Saturday School.”
Other activities may include VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, Day Camps, sharing testimony, recreation/fellowship.  PARTNER

MARYLAND – MD-3 / 2 Females

PATTERSON PARK BAPTIST CHURCH, Baltimore.  Inner-city church ministries for preschoolers, children, youth and families, including youth Bible study and fellowships, a Bible Club support for Crosspoint Sports Clinics, Day Camp, VBS summer reading program, VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, youth mission trip/outreach ministry. Helpful if student can assist with devotionals, computer, drama, puppets, musical instrument (piano or guitar), driving a car, languages (Spanish).

Skills:  Bible teaching, sharing testimony, survey/visitation, evangelism, recreation/fellowship.  PARTNER
 

MARYLAND/DELAWARE – MD-101 / 10 Students

SUMMER YOUTH MINISTERS, Maryland-Delaware.  Students will be assigned to mission churches or small inner-city churches that have had no organized youth ministry and want to begin a youth ministry that will continue throughout the year.  None of these churches can afford part-time youth workers and are excited about this possibility.  Churches will provide support for the new ministry to youth and local transportation.  Students will have opportunity to lead Bible studies, reach youth in the community by planning exciting attractive activities.  Musical or drama helpful.  Students needs to be a self starter working with adult volunteers to plan a strategy to reach kids for Jesus.  Great opportunity if you feel you may be called to serve as a youth minister!  No student partner.

Skills:  Strong desire to work with youth, lead recreation/fellowship, sharing testimony.
 

MARYLAND/DELAWARE – MD-102 / 5 Student

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY WORKERS, Maryland-Delaware.  Students will be assigned to mission churches or small inner-city churches that have had no organized children’s ministry and want to begin a children’s ministry that will continue throughout the year.  Churches will provide support and assistance from the local membership and also, local transportation.  No student partner.

Skills: VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, Day Camp, Bible teaching, recreation/fellowship.  Helpful:  puppets, clowning/juggling.
 

MARYLAND/DELAWARE – MD-103 / 3 Students

MINISTRY TEAM, Maryland-Delaware.  Great Joint Partnership Opportunity!   Three Mississippi students to serve as:  (1) preacher, (2) pianist, and (3) music/song leader.  They will work with a Maryland/Delaware student who will (4) lead recreation/fellowship.  Team will work in local churches from Sunday evening through Wednesday or Thursday through Sunday morning to do youth-led revivals, youth retreats, and creative evangelism/outreach in highly populated areas.   Students must have skills and experience in the job position for which they are making application.  Students will be in a different church or setting each week.  TEAM
 

MINNESOTA – MW-5 / 2 Students

PIONEER & WESTERN ASSOCIATIONS, St. Clair.  Students will assist mission pastor in various outreach activities to reach people for Christ and to strengthen mission congregations.  Activities will include VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, Day Camp, sharing testimony, survey/visitation, evangelism.

MINNESOTA – MW-7 / 1 Male, 1 Students

TWIN CITIES METRO ASSOCIATION, Minneapolis.  Students will be involved in evangelism outreach through VBS, BBC, Block Parties, and other similar outreach efforts.  Activities will include VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, Day Camp, sharing testimony, evangelism, recreation/fellowship, camp staff.  TEAM

Skills: Bible teaching, survey/visitation, drama, song leading.
 

WISCONSIN – MW-8 / 1 Male, 1 Female

TWIN CITIES BAPTIST CHURCH, Manitowoc.  Church activities with youth/singles and church planting.  Also, VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, Day Camp, Bible teaching, sharing testimony, survey/visitation, evangelism.  Students may also assist with preaching, leading devotionals, computer, drama, song leading, singing solos, musical instrument, recreation/fellowship, camp staff.  PARTNER

MONTANA – MT-4 / 2 Females

TRIANGLE ASSOCIATION, Great Falls.  This association is located in North Central Montana.  This will be a traveling team, working in rural churches throughout the association, which includes two Native American works.  The team will be utilized in a variety of ministries: VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, survey/visitation, youth ministries and evangelism.  Lead Bible teaching at children’s camp.

MONTANA – MT-15 / 1 Male

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, Forsyth.  This church is located in a small ranching community in Southeastern Montana.  It is a very ministry oriented church and is involved in various community ministries including a jail ministry.  The student will be involved in youth evangelism, children’s ministry and survey work.  Musical talents helpful.
No student partner.

MASSACHUSETTS – NG-13 / 1 Student

GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH, Hudson.  Youth Minister.   Reach out to churched and unchurched youth of the community.  Youth ministry to include teaching Sunday School, Jr. High/Sr. High youth nights, leading summer Bible studies for youth and chaperoning day trips, Centrifuge, and mission trip.  Plan summer activities for fun and growth.

MASSACHUSETTS – NG-15 / 1 Female

GREATER BOSTON BAPTIST ASSOCIATION,  INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY.  Leading conversational English, leading small group Bible studies, hosting activities and building relationships with international students.  Student needs to be comfortable in relating to different cultures, flexible and able to lead small groups, and able to dialogue naturally about Christianity with persons from other religious backgrounds.  No student partner.

Skills:  Willing to do some study prior to serving to learn about other religious beliefs.
 

MASSACHUSETTS – NG-101/ 1 Male, 1 Female

BOSTON STRATEGIC FOCUS CITY, Boston.  Boston is a strategic point of ministry focus for Southern Baptists over the next few years.  The North American Missions Board and local churches will be sending individuals there for ministry and service.  The summer missionaries will help with the logistical support of teams and administrative matters.  Among other responsibilities, students will provide computer assistance and help  orient and host groups of volunteers as they come to Boston.  PARTNER

Skills:  Students will need to be able to do some of the following computer work:  word processing, spreadsheet, graphics.   Hosting, public speaking, leadership in coordinating events and orientation.
 

NEW HAMPSHIRE – NG-102/ 3 Students

GARRISON BAPTIST CHURCH, Dover, NH.  Students will help lead Wednesday evening youth Bible studies, Sunday evening children’s programs, Weekly Sports Camp, Day Camps, Vacation Bible School, Children and Youth Fellowships.  TEAM

NEW ENGLAND – NG-103/ 4 Students

SPORTS CAMP TEAM.  Baptist Convention of New England.  Mississippi Sports Camp Team comprised of four students will travel to various locations in New England to help local churches with sports camp ministry.  Students should be comfortable in participating and leading youth and children to participate in team sports such as softball, baseball, basketball, volleyball, etc.  Through the ministry of sports, student missionaries will develop relationships, lead Bible studies, and share their faith.  This will be an outreach strategy in each community.   TEAM

NEW MEXICO – NM-8/ 1 Male, 1 Female

IMMANUEL BAPTIST CHURCH / EAGLES’ WINGS YOUTH RANCH, Mountainier.  Camp Counselor.  Work with children & some youth in a predominantly Hispanic and Native American area.  Students will spend about half their time as camp counselors.  The remainder of time will be spent in VBS, outreach and witnessing, and recreation.

MITCHELL HOLLOW MISSION, Windham, Youth Ministry.  New church in Catskill mountains of upstate New York.  Students will work as staff of the church in youth ministry.  Assist in weekly youth fellowships, youth week, dramas for Sunday morning services.  Missionaries would be able to try different things and expand their ministry experience.  Work would include evangelism, youth outreach, and church start activities.  PARTNER

OKLAHOMA – OK-1 / 4 Females

DAYSPRING VILLA, Sand Springs.  Day Springs Villa is home for women and children who are displaced, abused or battered.  Students will serve as shelter staff in day-to-day operations.  They will work with residents and their children in supervisory roles.  Through all of the responsibilities the students will be able to share Christ with the residents of DaySpring Villa.  TEAM

PACIFIC NORTHWEST – NW-101 / 2 Females, 2 Males

STUDENT REVIVAL TEAM, Northwest Baptist Convention.  Revival team composed of preacher, song leader, pianist, and youth/fellowship leader. Team will travel together throughout the states of Washington and Oregon.  The team will work together traveling to a new church mission field each week.  Three or four day revivals will be preceded by preparation activities, including youth meetings, community contacts, and outreach activities.

Skills:  Preacher, piano player, music/song leader,  and recreation leader.  Prefer some experience.
 

PACIFIC NORTHWEST – NW-102 / 1 Male, 1 Female

VALLEY BAPTIST CHURCH, Sedro-Woolley, WA.  Students will spend about 1/3 time with children and 2/3 of their time with youth.  Setting is rural.  VBS and Backyard Bible Clubs with children and leading Bible studies, fellowships, and devotionals with the youth.  Go on youth trips and possibly work some in surrounding churches and at youth or children’s camp as counselors.  PARTNER

PACIFIC NORTHWEST – NW-103 / 2 Students

OLYMPIC BAPTIST CHURCH, Edmonds, WA.  Work with children and youth in summer programs of outreach and activity.  These will include recreation, Bible study, camps.  Approximately equal time with children and youth.  PARTNER

PENNSYLVANIA – PS/SJ-10 / 2 Females

TRINITY BAPTIST CHURCH, Philadelphia.  Trinity Baptist is located in an inner-city setting with 32,000 persons in a nine-block radius.  This church has a strong emphasis on weekday ministries and evangelism.  Most of the missionaries’ time will be spent working with the church’s Summer Day Camp.  Skills in working with youth and children, evangelism, and a desire to minister in an inner city setting are important.  The church requests students with a GPA of 3.3 or higher.  This is one of our choicest assignments and is consistently given very high marks by our missionaries.  In fact, several have come back to serve a second time.  Definitely a life-changing experience!  PARTNER

TENNESSEE – TN-7 / 2 Students

OCOEE RESORT MINISTRIES OF BRADLEY ASSN, Cleveland.  Provide ministry with visiting mission teams; help coordinate teams as they do VBS and Backyard Bible Clubs, and sports clinics.  Lead in family evening programs in parks, at festivals and at campgrounds.  Provide general ministry to those that work in the whitewater sport industry on the Ocoee River of East Tennessee.

Skills: Work with people.  Helpful to be athletic.  Guitar-helpful.
